Fuel Poverty is one of the most persistent health and environmental problems affecting one in five homes in the nation. The European Energy Poverty Conference hosted by Energy Action will looked at the United Approach Europe can take to begin to solve Fuel Poverty. The annual Fuel Poverty conference has become firmly established as the premier event for the rapidly developing and dynamic energy efficiency industry.
It is estimated that 50 million+ Europeans live in energy poverty which is associated with more than 30,000 excess winter deaths in Europe per year. Despite energy poverty being an enduring problem with widespread and severe impact, up to now there has been no common European strategy for tackling it.
Simon Jones, Commercial Director UK and Ireland at Aereco Ltd., will be part of the “Health and Energy Poverty” workshop. Together with Adam Fudakowki, CEO of Switchee, he will talk about the Thamesmead Condensation, Damp and Mould Strategy, a ground-breaking and award-winning programme targeting fuel-poor homes in London. More info on the Conference blog here.
Aereco will also exhibit during the conference.
