nZEB will be mandated for all construction types commencing November 2019 so it’s high time that those involved in the built environment get up to speed on what this will entail. The forum is being held in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland, one of the front-runner regions spearheading the transition to nZEB. The event will showcase the very best in expertise, design, case study buildings and innovative products.

Over ten case study exemplary buildings will be presented, involving commercial and well as residential projects, both new-build and retrofit. We will also hear from top government and UN officials on the policy and regulatory framework and get a glimpse into what the future holds in terms of smart grid and sustainable communities. We are thrilled to have top-notch thought leaders from Ireland, mainland Europe and the US to share their experiences with us.

If you’ve not yet heard of nZEB, or you want to explore this topic in greater detail, you’ve come to the right place. We are certain you will leave this event inspired and ready to embrace what is a paradigm shift in how we design, build and operate the spaces where we live and work. More information on the World nZEB Forum 2019 taking place in Dún Laoghaire on November 13th -14th  here.

Simon Jones, Sales Director UK and Ireland at Aereco Ltd. and Irish repreentative to the AIVC (Air Infiltration and Ventilation Centre), will give a talk during the event. The title of his presentation is ‘Elephant in the Room: Quality Assured Ventilation‘. Whether your strategy is hole in the wall, continuous extract, demand controlled or with heat recovery, all ventilation systems in Ireland have to be designed, balanced, commissioned and validated by competent persons. Simon will explain the impact this is likely to have for the residential construction sector in Ireland and tease out the skills that are needed to cost effectively deliver this nZEB requirement.
